Depending on what type of hedge you have will determine the number of maintenance visits per year. As a guide, we would recommend two to three hedge maintenance visits for the most common varieties of hedge such as Privet and Leylandii. This should be more than enough to keep them in check and ensure that your hedge looks well maintained and manicured rather than overgrown and messy, giving the wrong impression of lack of care.

Some established hedges need trimming to keep them dense and compact, formal hedges require more frequent trimming than informal hedges.
